Who operates the service
Sum & Sign is a product of Cadus Labs LLC. In this policy, “Sum & Sign,” “we,” and “us” refer to Cadus Labs LLC as the operator of the mobile applications, website, and related services.
What we process
- Account information: your email address, authentication identifiers, and session information when you choose to sign in.
- Calculation inputs: birth name, date, optional time, and your selected calculation preferences. Before purchase these remain in app memory. After a permanent blueprint unlock, a validated profile may be stored in encrypted device storage so the app can work after restart.
- Service records: entitlement state, purchase lifecycle, reading usage, engine/content versions, referral progress, and account lifecycle events needed to provide and protect the service.
- Diagnostics and product events: only after you opt in. These events are rebuilt from a limited allowlist and exclude names, dates of birth, report text, emails, tokens, and raw requests.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate you, calculate and deliver requested experiences, verify purchases, enforce reading allowances, restore permanent access, prevent fraud, operate referrals, respond to support, secure the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data or use birth details for advertising.
Device-only profile data
The server does not intentionally store your raw birth name, birth date, or birth time as an account profile. Protected results are recomputed from a private request when needed. An unlocked profile may be retained with the operating system's encrypted storage on that device. Cross-device purchase restore restores access, not those inputs; you enter them again on a new device.
Uninstalling is not a reliable deletion method because iOS Keychain items can survive an uninstall. Use the in-app deletion control to request server deletion and clear the local profile.
Service providers
We use specialist processors for hosting and delivery, authentication and database services, app updates, purchases and entitlements, optional privacy-limited diagnostics, and content operations. Apple and Google process store purchases under their own policies. Providers may process data in countries outside yours and are reviewed for access, security, retention, and deletion controls before production use.
Retention and deletion
Account deletion hard-deletes the active Sum & Sign account and its linked entitlement, reading, and referral records after required processor cleanup succeeds. The application database does not intentionally keep a user-linked tombstone. Limited records may remain temporarily in protected backups or be retained where required for security, fraud, payment disputes, or law. Provider-specific production retention periods will be published here before the service accepts real accounts.
Deleting your Sum & Sign account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage store billing separately. See the account deletion guide.
Your choices
The app provides account export and permanent deletion. You can withhold or revoke diagnostics consent, disable insight notifications, edit or remove your local profile, and manage or cancel billing through the store that processed it. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing.
Age, security, and changes
Sum & Sign is for people age 16 and older. We use encryption in transit, server-side authorization, deny-by-default database access, signed webhooks, and data-minimized observability. No system is perfectly secure, but birth details are deliberately kept outside analytics, logs, notifications, URLs, and support tools.
